Rules

MAINTENANCE OF THE RULES & REGULATIONS

To ensure that our rules and guidelines remain relevant and fair, we conduct regular reviews. These reviews are driven by several factors, including valuable feedback from our community members, the growth and dynamics of our player population, the introduction of new system mechanics, and the lessons we learn as we evolve together.

We take these reviews seriously and are dedicated to making necessary adjustments when needed. Whenever we make updates to our rules and guidelines, we will communicate these changes through announcements in our Discord channel.

SECTION 01 | CONDUCT

In our community, it is essential for every member to adhere to the established rules outlined in this guide, as these rules are integral to managing our community space and addressing unwelcome actions. In the event of a violation, our dedicated staff responsible for investigations will employ these guidelines, taking into careful consideration the circumstances surrounding the rule infraction and the degree of severity in order to reach a just and equitable resolution.

When reading these rules if you have any questions feel free to Contact Us via our Official Discord.

1.1 GENERAL CONDUCT
  1. Do not organize, participate in, or encourage harassment of others. Disagreements happen and are normal, but continuous, repetitive, or severe negative comments may cross the line into harassment.
  2. There will be no discrimination, derogatory slurs, racial abuse, threats of violence or sexual harassment, in or out of the city.
  3. This is a Semi-Serious RP Server. Stay in RP (Role Play) when you are in the city and ensure you can separate RP differences between characters and OOC chat to avoid Meta Gaming concerns
  4. Players will adhere to the Terms of Service set forth on the Rockstar and CFX websites and be aware of restrictions
  5. There are channels and methods for communicating suggestions, bugs, player concerns, and other report issues. Please be respectful and use these channels to streamline your inquiry.
SECTION 02 | THE BEE-STING SYSTEM (WARNINGS, SUSPENSIONS AND BANS)

We want this to be a fun experience for you and others. Incidents involving violations of the BEEHOLE RP Guidelines are reviewed by the BEEHOLE Staff on a case-by-case basis. Minor offences may lead to a suspension of your account and the duration will be determined at the time of the investigation. If an incident is deemed major or repetitive in nature, you could be subject to a BEE STING. Extreme or malicious circumstances could lead to an immediate ban of your account from all community platforms.

Bee Sting #1 – Issued A Written Warning Outlining the Offense/Concern with Your Account Along with a Possible Suspension

Bee Sting #2 – VC Conversation with Staff and/or 2nd Written Warning Outlining the Offence/Concern with Your Account Along with a Suspension

Bee Sting #3 – Player Will Be Subjected to a Community Ban of All BEEHOLE RP Platforms.

SECTION 03 | REPORTING PLAYER ISSUES AND BUGS

If you feel that someone is violating the rules of this community, please report their actions. You can report your concern(s) in the following ways:

  • Using the /report command in-game
  • In Discord open a General Support or Player Report in the support ticket channel

If you encounter a bug, exploit, map issue, etc. within the game, please again report this using our Discord ticketing system. Tickets are managed by various staff and are prioritized based on impact on server gameplay and operation. Do not DM a Staff Member or Dev directly or bring the issue up to staff while in the game. Please respect the time of others and the systems we have in place to address your concern as soon as possible

SECTION 04 | CITY LAWS AND REGULATIONS

The State of California Laws regulate the city. However, due to this being GTA-RP some considerations were made for the BEEHOLE Server and City Bylaws are put in place to clarify.

SECTION 05 | ROLEPLAY STANDARDS

This is a Semi-Serious RP Server. It is expected that you always maintain an elevated level of Role Play (RP) in the city, especially since many players in this community are often wearing a Live Bodycam (Streaming) while playing. Even if you are new to RP, this does not limit you, as there are many activities within the server that you can do as you develop your RP skills. Each scenario or situation will be different, and you will need to use common sense and these guidelines to give your best approach to RP scenarios.

In our role-play environment, we encourage all participants to maintain their composure and understanding, especially in situations where emotions run high. We understand that everyone has different tolerance levels for words and actions that might be seen as offensive by some but not by others.

It’s important to emphasize that we will enforce all our server rules in role-play scenarios. However, it’s also essential to understand that the outcome of investigations may occasionally involve acknowledging that what was said or done could be considered offensive to certain individuals. However, it may not necessarily break or violate the explicit rules of our server. In the event of a violation, staff will determine an outcome as noted in Section 1.

SECTION 06 | GENERAL RULES & REQUIREMENTS
6.1 NAMES

Your character name needs to be realistic. You must have a First and Last name, it cannot be seriously offensive, and it cannot be of a known celebrity, influencer, etc. We recommend that you do not use your IRL name anywhere in the community.

6.2 MODS, MENUS AND OTHER 3RD PARTY APPLICATIONS

3rd party software is prohibited. This includes tracers, no props, crosshairs, aim bots, mod menus, etc. Players are also held responsible if they are aware someone else is using it, and they do not report it. Players caught changing modifying/adding files to their game folder may be banned from the community

6.3 MICROPHONE

You need to have a working microphone to play on the server. When on the server it is recommended that you enable Push-To-Talk (PTT) in the voice chat settings of the game. This helps ensure open mic issues do not occur.

6.4 AGE RESTRICTION

This is an 18+ Community

SECTION 07 | PLAYER RULES
7.1 POWER GAMING

Power Gaming involves abusing in-game mechanics or performing unrealistic in-game actions to alter a situation to suit your desires. Power Gaming can come up in a lot of scenarios and many forms of power gaming are covered in this guide

7.2 FAILED RP

Fail RP is not role-playing realistically in a scenario. Essentially it is an action that your character commits that is not probable. Whether that be taking unrealistic actions or intentionally disrupting the roleplay by trolling. Failed RP can happen in a lot of different ways. Please treat your character like you are them and follow what you would do in real life.

7.3 NO INTENT TO ROLEPLAY

Lack of intent to roleplay a scenario is a form of failed RP. You have a lot of freedom and abilities to make choices in the game. However, sometimes your actions will trigger a scenario to be started by another player. For example, a cop pulling you over for speeding. Shooting that cop at a traffic stop, running away or logging out because you don’t want to play out the scenario is unrealistic and a violation of more than one rule.

7.4 NO VALUE OF LIFE (NVL) & FEAR RP

No Value of Life (NVL) refers to actions being taken where you unrealistically risk your life. Treating situations like real life and treating your character’s life like there’s only one to live. A good example of this would be you attempting to eliminate three people robbing you at gunpoint. The odds are against you, and it is very likely you will be killed. A normal person would hand over their cash and items. Fighting in these situations only makes sense if you need to fight for your life. Fear RP is not fearing for your life. Fearing for your life is a natural human instinct. This is a major element of the game and should be at the top of your mind while you RP.

7.5 METAGAMING

Metagaming is the act of using knowledge that your character cannot possibly have. Using knowledge gained in OOC from DM’s, Voice Chats, Twitch, etc. is considered Metagaming. If you use different characters, you cannot use your knowledge from one character to advance another. You can ONLY act and speak on the knowledge that YOUR character has gained from their experiences and perspectives

7.6 COMBAT LOGGING

Logging out to avoid an interaction or to prevent a scene from continuing is prohibited. For example, being in a shoot-out and not wanting to die, getting caught by police, or getting robbed so you decide to log out. We understand that crashes may happen but if we determine that you combat logging, action will be taken. Running into your house after committing a crime or running from the police is also not permitted.

7.7 BREAKING RP & OOC CHAT

Always attempt to stay in character when in the city. Nothing OOC should be discussed and great lengths, this is what Discord is for. If you are not sure about something or need to come out of character. Do so and try to return to character as soon as possible. OOC Chat should only be used during a scenario when you are informing others that you are experiencing technical issues with sound or video.

7.8 USING EXPLOITS

Exploits are flaws (broken code) within the game that provide an advantage to anyone who interacts with it. Examples include money glitches, resource duplication methods, no-clipping, etc. Using exploits to help advance your character is prohibited and considered failed RP. Please report items of this nature so that they can be corrected.

7.9 CHARACTER FARMING

Character Farming is transferring resources, currency, property, etc. to another one of your characters using mechanics in-game or using a friend to transfer things to one of your other characters. Your characters do not know each other and therefore should have no valid reason to exchange property.

7.10 EROTIC ROLEPLAY (ERP) & NUDITY

Erotic Roleplay (ERP) must be consented to by all parties involved. ERP must also be conducted in the privacy of a residence as this form of RP could create issues for those wearing a live bodycam. During this kind of roleplay, there is to be no sexually graphic content.

7.11 NEW LIFE RULE

When you go down you will start bleeding out and a 6-minute timer will commence. If you are revived by EMS either on scene or at the hospital while bleeding out, you are considered able to retain the memory of all events leading up to being healed. If you respawn (using G muscle) to go to the hospital without the aid of EMS or other players, your memory of the last 30 minutes leading up to being downed is to be forgotten. You may be able to relearn the events that occurred, but you must complete that through RP

7.12 NEW CHARACTER RULE

When creating a new character you must have significantly reduced knowledge of the city or have none at all. You must RP to re-explore the city and create relationships within your new life. To reclaim full knowledge of the city’s secrets, places and people after starting a new character would be Failed RP and Metagaming.

SECTION 08 | INTERACTION RULES
8.1 RANDOM DEATH MATCH (RDM)

Random Death Match (RDM) is the act of killing people randomly with no RP purpose or interaction. Standing on the street shooting up everyone for the fun of doing it is not acceptable.

8.2 VEHICULAR DEATH MATCH (VDM)

Vehicular Death Match (VDM) is running people over purposefully and intently. Using your vehicle as a weapon against someone with feet on the ground is prohibited.

8.3 ROBBING PLAYERS

There must be a legitimate RP reason to rob someone. This can be a grey area, but a legitimate reason is not just because you need money and it cannot be your only form of criminal RP. Robbing the same player over and over on the same day is also considered low effort and Fail RP.

If you are robbing a player, completing a full pocket wipe of their items is prohibited. You may only take between 40% and 60% of their filled items slots. In cases where multiple items are stacked, such as a 10 stack of ammo boxes, the same rule applies (40% to 60%), allowing you to take a maximum of 6 of those ammo boxes. As it relates to robbing someone’s cash on hand, there is no limit to how much you can take.

8.4 HOSTAGE-TAKING

Taking one or more players hostage is a permissible roleplay action, but it must be preceded by engaging in RP interaction. Hostages may be taken in various scenarios, such as robberies or heists, to leverage demands from law enforcement for their safe release.

During these hostage situations, it’s important to note that players cannot rob their hostages, as outlined in Section 8.3. You are only allowed to steal the hostage’s weapons, which is done to prevent potential retaliation by the hostages. Taking any additional items or possessions from the hostages is strictly prohibited.

Taking hostages for the following scenarios is not permitted:

  • Attempting to gain a financial advantage by seeking cash from Police in exchange for the hostage
  • To exchange a hostage for a prisoner at LEO Station or the prison
  • The hostage is taken randomly with no RP purpose or RP interaction
8.5 FORCING ACTIONS

You cannot force players to take the following actions at any time while they are under duress:

  1. Take money out from an ATM. You can only take the cash they have on them (any amount).
  2. Transferring cash via a bank transfer.
  3. Transfer vehicle ownership.
  4. Taking stock, cash or other inventories from a whitelisted player-owned business
  5. Force someone to delete their character after you kill them in-game.
8.6 WHITELISTED JOBS,  CORRUPTION & PAYCHECK FARMING

Players are allowed two whitelisted jobs per character in their job menu. Some whitelisted jobs examples included Police, EMS, Bartender, Mechanic and Realtor. Along with whitelisted jobs, players can hold two Civilian Jobs which they can obtain through City Services.

As it relates to corruption, corruption in a whitelisted job should be something your character is pushed to evolve to through RP. You should not join the Police for example for the purpose of being a corrupt cop.

If you are caught collecting income while not actively working and doing other things your employment will be terminated. This is considered Paycheck Farming. If you are stepping away from your work for more than a few minutes to go into your head, it is best practice to go “off-duty”

8.7 CAMPING BODIES

Camping a dead body for the purpose of killing them again once immediately revived is prohibited.

8.8 VEHICLE & HOUSE SCAMMING / IRL CURRENCY TRADING

Do not sell vehicle and/or house assets that you do not own to new or existing players to scam them out of in-game cash. Players also cannot sell assets and resources for IRL cash, this action is strictly prohibited and grounds for a ban.

SECTION 09 | CITY BYLAWS

Bylaw W01  – Open carry is allowed. If you are caught with an unregistered weapon you will be subject to convictions

Bylaw T01  – All red lights are to be treated as a 4-way stop.

Bylaw T02 – Speed limits are as follows: City is 50MPH | Country Lanes is 70MPH | Freeway is 90MPH

Bylaw C01 – It is illegal to fire a weapon within city limits regardless of whether you are in your home or business. For the county, you can fire your weapon only when permitted by the owner of a residence, place of business or on hunting grounds.

Bylaw C02 – Staging emergencies for the sole purpose of killing local authorities for no RP purpose or just for the sake of robbing them is Fail RP and is subject to suspension.

Bylaw C03 – Designated Green Zones are City Hall, Law Enforcement Stations & Hospital

Bylaw C04 -Players are not allowed to tag or graffiti on any designated Green Zones

Bylaw C05 – While wearing a mask for nefarious activities, this negates the ability of Law Enforcement, witnesses, etc. to use your voice against you and link you to a crime. Descriptions of a person, vehicle etc. are still information players can pursue.

SECTION 10 | GENERAL RULES OF ENGAGEMENT
Citizen VS Citizen

At the time of an interaction, a Citizen must engage in RP for at least 30 seconds or have reasonable prior RP before attempting to engage in combat, robbery, hostage taking or killing.

Gang Member Engagement on a Citizen or Vise Versa

At the time of an interaction, a Gang Member must engage in RP for at least 30 seconds or have reasonable prior RP before attempting to engage in combat, robbery, hostage taking or killing.

Gang VS Gang Member

At the time of an interaction, a Gang Member must engage in RP for at least 30 seconds with another Gang Member before attempting to engage in combat, robbery, hostage taking or killing. This does not apply when two gang leaders agree to activate KOS between their gangs.

Gang VS Gang Member – Kill on Sight (KOS) Active

When KOS is agreed upon by two gangs they do not have to RP before they engage in combat, robbery, hostage taking or killing.

Police VS Citizen/Gang Members

Police should only be using lethal force in extreme circumstances and where their lives are in jeopardy. Police should make realistic attempts to negotiate or use non-lethal force as a primary strategy in response to an incident.

Police Apprehension

Police should make all attempts to apprehend a criminal with non-lethal force, this includes but is not limited to

  • Talking/Negotiation
  • Tackle them to the ground
  • Taser
  • Shooting out tires or using spike strips
  • Boxing a vehicle in or attempting P.I.T. maneuvers
Hostage Taking & Robbing a Player

During a scenario, if you plan to rob a player you cannot take them hostage after the robbery. In turn, if you take them hostage you cannot rob them with the expectation of stealing their weapons. See Section 8.3 & 8.4

SECTION 11 | MISSIONS & THE 4-MAN RULE

In most cases, robbery and heist jobs require Law Enforcement to be online. When these types of criminal activities occur the police are notified and will dispatch to the scene.

If your player is downed during one of these events, EMS is not allowed to revive on the scene, you must be taken to a hospital by someone in these scenarios. Once you have been downed you cannot return or assist in the scenario you were killed at.

A group of criminals/citizens/gang members can only conduct criminal activities in a group of 4 people maximum.

A participant of a criminal group in these scenarios is someone considered to be a participant entering a bank, house or store to execute the robbery. Someone performing as the primary getaway driver. A player acting as a lookout. A participant in the actual crime being committed

SECTION 12 | GANG RULES

13.4 GANG HOPPING

Joining a gang should be a big character decision. If your character wants to join a gang, make sure you understand what that truly entails. You are not allowed to hop organizations/gangs by any means. When you leave a gang, you will be put on a 15-day cooldown before being allowed to enroll into another criminal gang/organization. If you leave a gang on bad terms, that gang can KOS you one time (one scenario) as their form of retaliation.
